we admins at BSTS will try and keep this short and simple!

* starting out

you've decided to join? great! please make sure you're here to stay because we don't want members to sign up and leave. please stay active! we all know you have busy lives, if things get a little too hectic PM an admin or post something in the away boards to let us know what's going on. to be considered "active" you need to sign in at least once every three days and post once a week in a board. (excludes chat, games, IM, facebook, etc). but we would prefer you log in once a day.

we'll need to when you register you can have whatever username you wish. please just change your display name to this format first middle last in all lowercase lettering. it looks neater and prettier that way.

* posting

we are a beginner-advanced site, we understand if you're just starting out. we do have a minimum word count of 250 words. even just describing the weather, clothing, or setting can easily give you that. the admins are like hawks and if we see you posting one liners we will nicely PM you and remind you about our word count. also, plz d0nt typ3 lyk d1s!11! it hurts our eyes and is ugly to see, you can however use this is the cbox as you wish.

please only roleplay in the third tense, it's awkward to reply to a first-person response. no god-modeling of any kind is allowed on this site. we don't need someone finding out when they login that they have been banned from the bar for being under aged. only roleplay your own characters. when speaking out of character in a reply please specify by using OOC. it makes things less confusing.

by the new proboards boards rules we cannot post explicit content, if you would like the roleplay these then just PM an admin and we'll set something up for you.

* characters

we don't have a limit to how many characters you make, we just ask for every two girls you make one boy. we all prefer one gender or another we don't want to ban one gender if there is over abundance of another. If you wish to delete a character please do so on the activity checks. you can delete a character but you will have to PM an admin the reason you want to. by the way our password is: pb&j.

if you have a popular playby you must keep active! if you don't we might be forced to put your playby up for grabs for other people to take. if someone has taken your playby please don't whine/complain to anyone about it. they claimed that face already and it's just too bad for you. by the way our real password is pinstripe not the one above. you can only have the same playby as another person if they are twins. we also don't want any mary-sues or larry-bobs. we don't need "perfect" characters, everyone has flaws. faceclaims must be actual people. NO ANIME. they have to be a real person. if you are not/accepted and don't claim/reserve your play by and someone else claims/reserves it before you do, that's perfectly fine. you snooze you lose.

concerning graphics.. they cannot stretch our board and avatars can be 150x200 no bigger. please no porn/hateful sayings on your images either. keep it clean.

don't harass people, don't spam, don't advertise, don't argue, & don't discuss indepth plots that's what the plot pages are for.
